This type of thermoformed plastic packaging (vacuum
formed or pressure formed) is commonly provided as trays,
clamshells, and blister packs for security and product
visibility.
The critical design of a part will often determine
which thermoforming technique should be used, if at
all. Depth of draw, level of surface detail required,
ribbing, fillets, stress-concentration, shrinkage, expansion
and undercuts are all factors that must be carefully
considered when creating your part design.
AKM will help you with careful part design, tool
construction, and manufacturing controls.
